Available grant funding
NMF has open grants rounds through our discretionary grant programs, as well as local funds. NMF is home to around 415 community and component funds, many of which offer grant funding for groups and organizations to benefit their local communities.

Open grants
NMF provides a listing of grant opportunities offered from our component and community fund partners as well as opportunities directly from our own discretionary grants.
Eldor and Stella Omdahl Environment and Conservation Fund
Deadline: November 1st, 2023
Grants will be considered for projects that promote or preserve natural resources in Northwest Minnesota.
The total available funding is $50,000. The maximum grant award is $25,000.
Hubbard County Coalition of Lake Associations
Deadline: April 15th, 2024
The Hubbard County Coalition of Lake Associations is seeking grant proposals for up to $2,000.
The HC COLA Charitable Fund will consider grant applications from nonprofit organizations and community groups. The geographic eligibility area is Hubbard County and watersheds that impact Hubbard County.
Roseau Area Community Fund

Deadline: October 31st, 2023
Grants are awarded for projects, programs, or activities that improve the quality of life enjoyed by Roseau area residents and visitors. Grants will be considered in the areas of leisure and recreational, arts, culture, and education.
The Roseau Area Community Fund has up to $10,000 available for grants. In addition, there is up to $1,400 available for educational grant opportunities.
Twin Valley-Gary Area Community Fund & Joseph Urdahl Memorial Fund

Deadline: October 31st, 2023
Grants will be considered from any nonprofit organization or public agency whose project addresses one of the following topics in the Twin Valley-Gary area: education, economic development, healthcare, environment and recreation, cultural and community service and that benefit the residents of the defined area. Special consideration will be given to a project that collaborates with others, provides a long-term impact, and has the ability to use the grant funds within 12 months of the award. A single grant maximum of $10,000 will be considered for funding to a grant applicant. The minimum grant award is $500
