NMF Board visits Hallock
For July’s Board of Directors meetings, our staff and board traveled to Hallock, where we met at Far North Spirits, toured Revelation Ale Works, and had the chance to visit with local community members.

Early grant support from the Thief River Falls Area Community Fund helped spur efforts to bring a program that builds self-esteem in adolescent girls to the local community.

The Northwest Minnesota Foundation is committed to strengthening support for children and families throughout our region.

The cost of one child’s college tuition is hard to manage; for the Balstads, there were three entering college all at the same time. Trent, Faith, and Lance Balstad all graduated high school in 2000.

The sun came out from behind the clouds as Sharon Fruetel spoke of perseverance.

In January, the Boys & Girls Club of Bemidji Area hosted an exhibit displaying 181 pieces of artwork submitted by 87 of its Club members.

Northwest SBDC is ‘leading the way’!

KAXE’s Katie Carter recently interviewed Margaret Krueger, an NMF Homelessness program officer, and landlord Kyle Baril about our Landlord Risk Mitigation Fund. This was a fantastic feature that did a great job of highlighting the goals and benefits of this program.

Beau, our Chief Morale Officer and in-house therapy dog, visited Bemidji State University last Wednesday to offer some stress relief to BSU students prepping for Finals.
